Thomas Friese (b. 1967) completed his schooling at Munich’s Pestalozzi High School for Music and went on to study sacred music and organ at the city’s “Musikhochschule” (university college of music), where he was awarded an “A Diploma” in 1991 in Catholic sacred music and a concert diploma in organ in 1993. He studied organ with Prof. Harald Feller.

Thomas Friese is the director of music as well as the parish organist of St. Canisius’ Church in Munich. He regulary performs in concerts and recitals in cathedrals and famous monastery churches across all of Europe and the USA, both as a conductor and as an organist. He also gives duo recitals together whith his brother Christian.

In addition, he teaches organ and organ improvisation for both the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and the Diocese of Augsburg.
